After the Strasbourg decision, the Minister of Justice provided detailed information to representatives of 22 embassies

Representatives of the diplomatic corps, accredited in Georgia, met with the Justice Minister Rati Bregadze.

The Ambassadors received detailed information about the Strasbourg court’s verdict on Mikheil Saakashvili at the meeting which is being hosted by the Ministry.

The meeting was attended by representatives from 22 embassies, 5 of them were Ambassadors and the others are deputy ambassadors.

Following the meeting, Rati Bregadze noted the Georgian side did not need to make any explanations to the “friendly states” regarding the former official, as the Court had made its final decision based on evidence and legal norms and not by “political perceptions and impressions”.
