Prime Minister meets Minister of Science and Education of Azerbaijan

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili met with Emin Amrullayev, Minister of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

During the meeting at the Government Administration, focus was made on the relations between the two countries. The conversation touched on prospects of furthering cooperation in a variety of areas, including the educational direction.

The importance of the Bilateral Agreement on Cooperation in the Spheres of Education and Science, signed in 2022, was underlined at the meeting.

Readiness was expressed to further deepen the existing productive cooperation in the sphere of general education. The successful partnership between schools of higher education, also the bilateral and multilateral cooperation between professional education institutions, were discussed. It was noted that this successful cooperation is evidenced by the Memorandum of Cooperation signed with the Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy by the Tbilisi State University, Georgian Technical University, and Kutaisi International University.

The meeting was attended by Azerbaijan’s Ambassador to Georgia Faig Guliyev, Rector of the Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy Hafiz Pashayev, and Georgian Minister of Education and Science Giorgi Amilakhvari.
