The Mayor of Rustavi, Nino Latsabidze, got acquainted with the innovative production cycle implemented in the company “Basalt Fiber”. Chairman of the Board of Supervisors of “Basalt Fiber”, provided detailed information about newly introduced German technologies in production to the government representatives.

“Basalt Fibers”, a member of the Georgian building materials cluster and European business association, in cooperation with the German technological startup Fibrecoat, started the production of an innovative product - aluminum coated basalt thread in September of last year.

“Basalt Fibers” is a Georgian construction and composite materials manufacturing company that has been operating on the market since 2000. The plant has the lowest CO2 emissions among high-temperature technologies and is efficient. 80 locals work in the enterprise.
