Ruling team will consider the request of European partners and will not adopt the law on de-oligarchization until December - Irakli Kobakhidze

The ruling team will consider the request of European partners and will not adopt the law on de-oligarchization until December. Such a statement made today the Georgian Dream Chairman.

“We were planning to adopt the law on de-oligarchization in the final, 3rd reading, next week, although you know that the Prime Minister had a visit to Brussels. Meetings were held at the highest level, including with Charles Michel, the European Commissioner, and there was a request that this law should not be adopted in the third reading at this stage.

Accordingly, we will certainly consider this request. This law will not be passed next week, we will not adopt it until December. In any case, we will wait for the opinion of the European Commission and the European Council in December.

Regarding this topic, we want to know whether the issue of de-oligarchization, which in itself implies a personalized approach, will be removed. Until then, we are not going to return to the consideration of this draft law”, - said Irakli Kobakhidze.
