A shameful fact happened, they secretly and silently brought out the samples they took from prisoner [Mikheil] Saakashvili, said today the Prime Minister of Georgia.
“I would like to comment once again: this was a kind of gesture from us and a confirmation that we are faithful to our promise or any statement or word. We keep our word, unlike others.
Our statement and offer was as follows: we would not be against Saakashvili’s family bringing any doctor, from any clinic, for on-site treatment, I want to say emphatically - what we saw was neither on-site treatment nor an attempt to do so, at all. In general, the Polish doctors performed an incomprehensible action.
Before that, a lot of misinformation was spread, they said it was confidential, then they released information themselves. A shameful fact happened, they secretly and silently brought out the samples they took from prisoner Saakashvili. This raises a lot of questions. They themselves have discredited the entire process. Of course, all credibility has been lost in this process.
Therefore, we will revise our approach. Despite the fact that we said that doctors should be brought only with the involvement of the family, we saw the involvement of the Poles too, but we turned a blind eye to this. Also, I commented a few days ago that there was a new political campaign in Poland and it seems that Saakashvili’s former friends are actively involved in this campaign and are using this issue in the domestic political agenda.
This is the reality. We, myself and our Government, made a gesture with our decision. But since there has been some unusual behavior on their part and it is all very suspicious, we have no desire to continue our cooperation. I repeat that our offer remains valid for the family, I emphasize they can bring doctors and treat him here", - said Irakli Garibashvili.
