The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Ilia Darchiashvili, met with the head of the delegation of the legislative body of the State of Israel, the speaker of the Knesset, Amir Ohana, who is on an official visit to Georgia.
Within the framework of the meeting, current issues of partnership relations between the two countries and priorities of future cooperation were discussed.
The Israeli Knesset Speaker will also meet with Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili, Nino Kadagidze, the Chair of the Georgian Supreme Court, and with the Georgian Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili, after which the sides will make a statement at a joint press briefing.
In the symbolic part of his trip, Israeli official will lay a wreath at the Tbilisi memorial for those fallen for Georgia’s independence. He will also visit the David Baazov Museum of History of the Jews of Georgia and Georgian-Jewish Relations in Tbilisi.
