The Speaker, Shalva Papuashvili introduced new security regulations in the Parliament Palace to MPs at the Bureau sitting.

The Decree of the Speaker specifies and re-regulates the terms for issuing the entry permits and the entry procedures, the behavior of the visitors and the consequences of violations, as well as various levels of security according to the impending threats.

“This is an updated set of regulations that have already been applied in the Parliament, the key essence of which lies in the fact that the adherence to the security and workspace in the Parliament.

The entry of the visitors, the issue of the permits, and car entries – all these issues that were regulated should be accumulated under a systematized order incorporating in mind the best European practice”, - said Shalva Papuashvili.

The Decree becomes effective as of September 18.
