A vote was taken today, September 5, by Georgian Dream lawmakers to suspend the mandates of Ketevan Dumbadze and David Sergeenko.
Dumbadze’s mandate was terminated, while Sergeenko’s mandate vote failed.
MP from the ruling party, Irakli Kadagishvili, presented the draft resolution on the early suspension of the mandates, explaining that Ketevan Dumbadze has been appointed director of the Writers’ House, which is incompatible with MP status.
As Kadagishvili added, Sergeenko faces suspension of his mandate due to missing the session without good cause - he missed 25 of the 32 sessions.
