The President of Georgia met with French President Emmanuel Macron in Paris. After the meeting, she shared the news on the social network.

“Greetings from Paris, and I’m delighted to share that I had a very productive discussion with the French President concerning our forthcoming European candidacy”, - said Salome Zourabichvili.

“Thank you very much, Madam President. Today in Paris, as always, I had a very pleasant conversation with Mrs. President. I am happy that I hosted her m to talk about Georgia, EU candidacy, the future of the country and the region.

I also want to express my support for the brave struggle to protect democracy, the rule of law, and also for the European path, which I believe is the future of the Georgian people.

I wish you all the best of luck. I will continue to support Mrs. President on this path in the coming days, months and years, which is very important for you and for us”, - added Emmanuel Macron.
