I know how important the EU perspective is for so many people in Georgia, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said at the plenary session of the European Parliament.
“The European Union should prepare for the accession of more than 30 states by the year “2030+”, and if this requires making changes to the basic agreements of the organization, this should be done.
The place of Ukraine, Western Balkan countries, Moldova and, in the future Georgia, is in the European Union, so the organization must find a response to the existing geopolitical challenge and find a way to support the democratic aspirations of these countries.
And I know how important the EU perspective is for so many people in Georgia”, - said Ursula von der Leyen.
