Irakli Garibashvili, Prime Minister of Georgia met Ahmed Al Khateeb, Minister of Tourism of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia today.
Dignitaries discussed the implementation of an agreement reached during the visit of the Prime Minister of Georgia to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and defined future plans towards this end.
As noted by the Head of Government of Georgia, tourism is a rapidly growing sector of the Georgian economy, while the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is a strategic and attractive market for Georgia.
According to the Prime Minister of Georgia, initiatives of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia are gratifying towards principles of sustainable tourism, innovations and education.
Irakli Garibashvili expressed his gratitude towards the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for granting an opportunity of travel with digital visas to the citizens of Georgia, thereby noting that digital visas will facilitate an increased flow of tourists between the two countries.
Prospects of future cooperation were also discussed at the meeting in the areas of renewable energy, real estate and logistic hubs. According to the Prime Minister of Georgia, the Government is keen to take every step to deepen cooperation with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia both in multilateral and bilateral formats.
He highlighted the productive cooperation between the two countries within the scope of international organizations.
