Consultations related to European integration issues are held in Tbilisi between the Deputy Ministers of Foreign and European Affairs of Georgia and Western Balkan countries [Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Serbia and North Macedonia].
The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Teimuraz Janjalia is hosting joint consultations from Georgia.
The main goal of the consultations is to share the experience gained in the process of European integration, to coordinate steps to be taken towards EU accession, and to create a common agenda around the issues of common interest.
Establishing consultation formats at various levels with Western Balkan countries is an initiative of the Georgia Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and this initiative gained even greater importance after the European Council granted Georgia a European perspective and, following this decision, Georgia moved into the enlargement package.
