Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili met with Kyriakos Mitsotakis, Prime Minister of the Hellenic Republic, in the city of Granada.
Focus at the meeting was made on Georgia’s European and Euro-Atlantic integration, and the importance of Greece’s support in this process was emphasized. The parties discussed Georgia’s steps toward EU membership, including the positive dynamic of the implementation of the 12 EU recommendations by Georgia.
As Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili noted, Georgia deserves the candidate status, and our country is anticipating a fair decision from the EU at the end of this year.
The cooperation between the two countries was underlined, which is grounded in millennia-old historical ties and cultural closeness. The parties also spoke about the importance of further deepening cooperation, which envisages the intensity of high-level exchange visits.
