The service of the military is invaluable, and we all – first and foremost, the Government, the authorities – are obligated to do our best for you, to appreciate your service, selflessness, heroism before our country, Georgian Prime Minister said in his speech at the ceremony of awarding Army City apartments to service members.
“Greetings, my dear friends! I greet our cherished service members, their families, children. I greet all of you with enormous respect, esteemed generals, officers. I would like to congratulate all of you on the completion of yet another important project. Army City is completed, and today we festively award these beautiful apartments to our cherished service members and their families. I am extremely excited and happy because yet another cause and project initiated by us is now completed. You know that, back when I was Defense Minister, I announced that all that is the best belongs to the army, and we started gradually to resolve and regulate every matter, be it the rehabilitation of bases, equipment procurement, and every other matter possible. And, most importantly, one of the key projects was the implementation of Army City.
You know that this project was finalized in a very short period. I would like to thank the construction company’s leadership, builders, and everyone involved in the project. You know that we offered unprecedented terms to our service members, our cherished troops. I am glad to see this project finalized today. But I also want to announce that this is not a one-off project. It will continue, and another, analogous project will be developed very soon.
I also want to say that it is our state’s duty to maximally appreciate your service and your self-sacrifice. The service of the military is invaluable, and we all-first and foremost, the Government, the authorities-are obligated to do our best for you, to appreciate your service, selflessness, heroism before our country. I once again bow before you, before your heroism. I would like to thank your families, your spouses, your parents, your children, and I once again wish you peace and victory”, - said Irakli Garibashvili.
