Re-consideration of the November 7 case has begun in the Tbilisi City Court. The session is being attended by Mikheil Saakashvili remotely.

Video evidence will be examined at today’s trial, which shows the November 7 raid.

The third president of Georgia is accused of mass crackdown on protesters, breaking into Imedi TV and criminally seizing property belonging to Badri Patarkatsishvili on November 7, 2007. He has been charged under the third part of Article 333 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which pertains to exceeding official authority, which caused a substantial violation of the rights of a natural or legal person, society, or the legal interest of the state. The mentioned crime is punishable by 5 to 8 years of imprisonment.
