Discussion of next year’s state budget continues in the parliamentary committees.

As it known, the total spending part of the combined budget, which includes both the state and municipalities, amounts to 27.8 billion GEL, with 24.1 billion GEL allocated for the state budget. State budget revenues are projected at 23.882 billion GEL.

The plan for 2024 includes a real economic growth rate of 5.2%, a combined budget deficit at 2.5% of GDP. The Government’s debt would equal 38.2% of gross domestic product, and the average inflation forecast within the target rate would be 2.8%.

The budget of healthcare and social protection programmes is increasing by GEL 870 million which included increase in pensions and a 10% salary increase for primary care staff.
