Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg welcomed Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to the Brussels for the first time since the war in Ukraine started, vowing to provide support to Kiev in its fight against Russia.

“Your fight is our fight, your security is our security, your values are our values, and we will stand by Ukraine for as long as it takes”, - said Stoltenberg.

During the 2-day defense ministers’ meeting in Brussels, the officials are expected to discuss additional military support to Kiev. “We meet in NATO-Ukraine Council, that we established during the Vilnius summit, that will further strenghten our relationship and help Ukraine move towards NATO membership”, - Stoltenberg added.
