Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili has set out on a working visit to Brussels, the Kingdom of Belgium.
The Head of Government will participate in the Global Gateway Forum organized by the European Commission.
The Global Gateway is a European strategy designed to boost secure connections in digital, energy, and transport sectors, also to strengthen healthcare, education, and research systems around the world.
The Global Gateway is fully in line with the UN’s 2030 Agenda, its Sustainable Development Goals, and the Paris Agreement. The strategy seeks to mobilize up to 300 billion euros in investments to finance priority directions.
The Global Gateway brings together the EU, its member states and their financial and development institutions, in order to mobilize the private sector to leverage investments for a transformational impact.
Within the scope of the forum, Irakli Garibashvili is scheduled as the keynote speaker at the work panel Transport Corridors.
Georgian Prime Minister was invited by Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission, to participate in the forum.
