Yet another facts-based evidence of Georgia’s leadership in the wider region has just emerged, writes the Speaker of the Parliament on the social network.
“Only a few days before the European Commission’s annual report, yet another facts-based evidence of Georgia’s leadership in the wider region has just emerged.
Based on the TheWJP Rule of Law Index 2023, Georgia is on the 48th place out of 142 countries, ahead of all EU candidate countries; also, leading 2 EU and 5 NATO member states.
EU candidate status should be an official confirmation of these undeniable facts.
The rule of law and human rights are among the fundamental pillars of the EU. And we are thus proud of these achievements and leadership in the best interest of Georgia and its people. Many are trying to challenge this achievement by attempting to alter perceptions. Although, all these efforts are in vain”, - tweeted Shalva Papuashvili.
