“The issue of granting candidate status to Georgia has entered a critical phase. In November, the assessment will be published and in December, a final decision will be made on it.

Currently, no decision has been made regarding Georgia at this stage, because there is a mixed attitude in the partner countries. What our Western partners are talking about, first of all, is the anti-Western propaganda of Georgian Dream, failure to implement the recommendations of the European Commission, which is the responsibility of ruling party.

If Georgia is granted the status, it will happen due to two very important factors - this is a geopolitical factor, because it is unimaginable for our partners that we will remain alone face to face with Russia. Second - these are the citizens of Georgia and the Georgian people, who proved once again in March that they deserve to receive the status. Of course, this will be a new impetus for our country.
