The “deepening” bilateral cooperation between Georgia and France, and the French Government’s support for Georgia’s European perspective were discussed in a meeting between the Acting Governor of the National Bank of Georgia [NBG] and the French Ambassador to the country.
Natia Turnava thoroughly informed Sheraz Gasri about main directions and priorities of the Bank’s activities. She once again confirmed to the French side the NBG and the financial system remained committed to international sanctions.
The meeting highlighted steps taken by the Government to join the Single Euro Payments Area, and implementation of legislative changes “most important” for the path of Georgia’s European integration.
