Hungarian Prime Minister vowed his support for Georgia’s European Union membership candidate status, ahead of the European Council’s anticipated decision on Friday, December 15.
Viktor Orbán told the media the country’s candidacy bid had been “decided”, and further added: “Everyone here loves Georgia”.
He also demanded that Ukraine’s EU membership be taken off the agenda of the summit.
Irakli Kobakhidze, the Chairman of the Georgian Dream, last week said the Hungarian Government was “firmly supporting” the granting of the membership candidate status to Georgia by the Council.
