Opposition MPs Tamar Kordzaia, Teona Akubardia and Khatuna Samnidze congratulate the citizens on getting the candidate status. As they said, it comes with responsibility and they will be involved in the work process together with the Government.

“The status means more control of each citizen over the government, economic progress, higher standard in education, environmental protection, social direction. This is a chance to move forward. We have a lot of work ahead of us”, - said Tamar Kordzaia.

“It is most important to justify the hopes of the citizens, to contribute to this process and start serious work for the European future, this means dialogue, constructive cooperation, confrontation, but without hatred. I am optimistic that progress is inevitable.

Governments come and go, the status belongs to the country. We are aware of our share of responsibility and intend to seriously engage in this process within the framework of our mandate, which means cooperation and working together. It will be a difficult process, but today is not the day to talk about problems, we want to congratulate each citizen”, - said Khatuna Samnidze.
