The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia released official information regarding the meeting with the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Denmark to Georgia, Anne Toft Sørensen.

“As the Georgian side noted at the meeting, it is a pity that the article contained significant factual inaccuracies and non-objective assessments, which do not contribute to the formation of a positive attitude of the international community, including Danish readers, towards the country.

It was also underlined that the mentioned article was used for political interpretations by certain forces, which naturally prevents the effective implementation of the main task defined by the EU for the country - depolarization.

At the meeting, the Danish side expressed concern over the above and stated that the article was intended to support the process of Georgia’s integration into the EU on the part of Denmark, and it was unfortunate that it was used in a negative context by the opponents”, - reads the statement.
