A delegation from the Georgian Dream, led by its leader Irakli Kobakhidze, is visiting the People’s Republic of China from January 14 to 20.

The delegation held meetings with Liu Jianchao, head of the Chinese Communist Party’s International Department, his deputy, and the leadership of the State Council’s Research Center.

Yesterday, January 16, Georgian MPs met with Xiao Jie, Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress.

“We talked about bilateral cooperation between China and Georgia. Of course, the parliamentary dimension of this cooperation is also very important. We talked about political cooperation, economic cooperation, cooperation in the field of culture. China supports Georgia’s territorial integrity and sovereignty, while Georgia supports one-China principle”, - commented Irakli Kobakhidze.

The delegation of the ruling party includes First Deputy Chairman of Parliament Giorgi Volski, Deputy Chairman of Parliament Irakli Chikovani, Foreign Relations Committee Chairman Nikoloz Samkharadze, Davit Songhulashvili, chairman of the Sector Economy and Economic Policy Committee, Agrarian Affairs Committee Chairwoman Nino Tsilosani, and Viktor Sanikidze, the first Deputy Chairman of the Sports Committee.
