Strong wind, precipitation and frost - the weather is getting worse in Georgia. According to forecasters, rain is expected in the western part of country, snow and blizzard in high mountain regions, and precipitation - in Eastern Georgia.

Due to the drop in temperature, icy conditions are expected on the roads.

According to the chief forecaster of the National Environment Agency, Naira Manvelishvili, a blizzard is expected both in Western and Eastern Georgia.

“We expect rain in most regions of Western Georgia. In the high mountainous area, there will be snow - heavy in some places, slippery on the roads, west wind. In the coastal zone, it is possible to reach 17-22 meters per second.

In some areas of Eastern Georgia, we expect precipitation in the form of snow in the mountains. Snowstorm is expected in the high mountains, both in Western and Eastern Georgia”, - added Naira Manvelishvili.
