We had a very interesting, important meeting with the Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Commerce, who directly manages the economic and trade relations with Georgia. At this meeting, absolutely all issues related to the economic and trade issues between our countries were discussed. Such a statement made today the Deputy Speaker of the Parliament, Irakli Chikovani, after meeting with the Deputy Minister of Trade and Commerce of China Ling Jing.
“China attaches great importance to the cooperation it has with Georgia. Although our countries are different in size and economies are of absolutely different sizes, they see the potential that Georgia has - how Georgia’s geostrategic position can be used, how it can promote business in Georgia and create additional jobs for Georgian businessmen and citizens. This is very important.
We and our Chinese colleagues and partners are well aware of the opportunities created by our cooperation. Of course, within the framework of this cooperation we are also in communication with other states that participate in the implementation of the Middle Corridor project and we talked about the details of these projects.
I will emphasize once again that the economic relations between the two countries are developing dynamically, but we see opportunities, we see the issues that have already been identified and on which we should focus in order to further increase the results of this cooperation”, - said Irakli Chikovani.
