“Throughout our 30 years of independence, we talked about the special role of Georgia as a connector between Europe and Asia. Who is Europe and who is Asia? Europe is obviously the European Union and Asia is primarily China. We are the only country in the region that has a free trade agreement with both the EU and China.

This is exactly the function of the bridge. Our opposition wants us to be a ferry which can be used by anyone to get from one shore to another. It is not our function to be satellites and to function as a ferry, to be carried from one shore to another by orders.
