I get the impression that the authors of this assessment are angry with the Georgian authorities and are attacking Georgia for this - Papuashvili on EaP Index

Unfortunately, those who are angry with the Government of Georgia have attacked Georgia and the Georgian people. Such a statement made today the Speaker of the Parliament, while commenting report of the Eastern Partnership Index.

“I get the impression that these organizations, which are the authors of this assessment, are angry with the Georgian authorities and are attacking Georgia for this. This assessment has nothing to do with reality. It is not serious to discuss that Georgia lags behind Ukraine and Moldova.

These organizations should look at the evaluations of the European Commission for example and see who is where in the direction of democracy. Also, they should look at all the authoritative evaluations and ratings and see where Georgia is”, - said Shalva Papuashvili.

According to the Eastern Partnership Index published a few days ago, Georgia lost a significant place in the indicators of democracy, good governance and policy convergence and moved to the 3rd place after Moldova and Ukraine.
