The Secretary General of the Georgian Dream, the Mayor of Tbilisi, pledged “unwavering commitment to national interests following the resignation of Irakli Garibashvili and the forthcoming nomination of his replacement by the party.

“Changes had always been a part of Georgian Dream’s dynamic. Regardless of our roles - whether in politics, business, or as ordinary citizens - we must always prioritise serving our homeland and people, without being swayed by the interests of any other nation.

Both Irakli Kobakhidze and Irakli Garibashvili, who announced his new role as the GD Chairman, enjoyed support of the party.
