The United National Movement [UNM] is ready to join President Salome Zourabichvili’s initiative to create a “Platform of Unity for Europe”. Such a statement made Tina Bokuchava, the Chairperson of the UNM faction in the Parliament.
“On behalf of the largest opposition party, I would like to confirm our readiness to participate in the initiative of President. Because for us, the most important thing is not the partisan, but the country’s European and, accordingly, national interest, and we believe that a united effort is very important ahead of the elections and which must definitely bring change.
Salome Zourabichvili spoke about the necessity of change and that the country needs not a sole ruler, but a coalition, European type of government. I think this is an important message for the pre-elections. I would also like to hear a message from her relating to [Mikheil Saakashvili]”, - said Tina Bokuchava.
The President of Georgia during her annual report to the Parliament today, proposed to political parties and civil society to create a charter for the future – “Platform of Unity for Europe”.
