Prime Minister’s Brussels visit will be extremely interesting and informative - Vakhtang Makharoblishvili

I hope, the visit of Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze to Brussels will be interesting and productive. Such a statement made Georgia’s EU Ambassador Vakhtang Makharoblishvili.

“The European Union - Georgia Association Council will focus on Georgia’s next step on the EU integration path which is opening negotiations on accession and sectoral integration, including in natural disaster prevention mechanisms.

The Georgia-Russia conflict would be discussed within the framework of the EU-Georgia Association Council meeting.

The Georgian side will provide European colleagues with information about gross human rights violations and humanitarian situation in the occupied territories. And naturally, a discussion will be held on how the European Union can play a further, positive role in the process of peaceful resolution of the Russia-Georgia conflict”, - explained the Ambassador.

The 8th meeting of the EU-Georgia Association Council will take place in Brussels today, on February 20.
