At least 2 - 3 thousand university graduates will have the opportunity to undergo paid internships in state structures for a minimum of 4 months - Kobakhidze

The Prime Minister of Georgia has announced at today’s Government meeting that the implementation of the law on paid internships for young people will commence in pilot mode this year [2024].

“At least 2 - 3 thousand university graduates will have the opportunity to undergo paid internships in state structures for a minimum of 4 months.

Additionally, the government aims to collaborate with municipalities and the private sector to provide young people with opportunities for paid internships in various sectors.

I request the Minister of Education, in collaboration with the Minister of Finance, to provide a comprehensive plan for the upcoming government session.

This plan should outline paid internship opportunities for young graduates, encompassing positions within governmental bodies, municipalities, and fostering collaboration with the private sector”, - said Irakli Kobakhidze.
