I am sure that Irakli Kobakhidze’s decision will serve to achieve even more progress in the health and social sectors. Such a statement made today the Vice-Speaker of the Parliament, Archil Talakvadze, while talking about the candidacy for the post of Minister of Health.

When asked whether he received an offer for the post of Minister of Health, Talakvadze refrained from answering this question.

“This is the Prime Minister’s prerogative, his discretion, he made this decision, and I am sure that his decision will serve to achieve even more progress in the health and social sectors. He said that there will be consultations regarding the candidacy. A new candidate will be selected through political consultations. This decision is also the prerogative of the Prime Minister.

I am sure that the best and most competent will be selected for this position. Whoever this person is, he will have the political support of the team. As for Zurab Azarashvili, I also want to thank him for all the good things he was able to do during these years”, - said Archil Talakvadze.

The Minister of Health, Zurab Azarashvili, resigned today.
