Georgian Parliament Speaker met the President of Iceland. Shalva Papuashvili thanked Guðni Th. Jóhannesson for Iceland’s support of Georgia’s territorial integrity and Euro-Atlantic integration aspirations.
The sides spoke about cooperation in different fields such as renewable energy, climate change, innovations, and cultural and education exchanges.
The President of Iceland underscored the significance of international-level cooperation between small states to achieve common goals. Jóhannesson stressed that Georgia has a unique geographic location, particularly with the use of water resources, and pledged readiness to share Iceland’s best experience.
