The partnership between Georgia and Germany, and positive dynamics in their bilateral relations, were discussed at today"s meeting between the Georgian Prime Minister and Peter Fischer, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Germany to Georgia. The meeting was held at the Government Administration.
The parties discussed Georgia’s progress on the path to EU integration. Focus was made on Germany’s considerable support in the process of granting the EU candidate status to Georgia. The Prime Minister reaffirmed the Georgian Government’s commitment to European values.
It was noted that the upcoming visit of the Prime Minister of Georgia to the Federal Republic of Germany is crucially important for the further deepening of bilateral relations and bolstering the development of cooperation across a variety of areas.
Irakli Kobakhidze thanked the diplomat for Germany’s strong support of Georgia’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, and non-recognition policy.
