During his official trip to Argentina, Ilia Darchiashvili, the Foreign Affairs Minister of Georgia, visited the legislative body in Buenos Aires, where he was accorded the title of honourable guest by decision of the city"s leadership. Matias Lopez, the Vice President of Buenos Aires, delivered a speech during the award ceremony. Additionally, Ilia Darchiashvili and Gvaram Khandamishvili, the Ambassador of Georgia to Argentina, also addressed the audience.

Ilia Darchiashvili expressed gratitude to the legislative body of Buenos Aires and Vice President Matias Lopez. He highlighted the historical connections between Georgia and Argentina, which have evolved into a strong friendship and partnership in contemporary times.

As part of the visit to the Buenos Aires legislative body, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the Tbilisi Municipality Council and the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires. This agreement aims to deepen relations between the two councils and enhance cooperation on matters concerning municipal development and self-governance.
