Irakli Garibashvili, the Chairman of the Georgian Dream, met Robin Dunnigan, the US Ambassador to Georgia, to discuss deepening the existing cooperation between the two countries.

The parties discussed the importance of strengthening the strategic partnership, the ruling party said, with the officials also reviewing “ongoing processes” in Georgia and the wider region. They also highlighted security challenges and the “importance of peace and stability”.

Garibashvili extended his gratitude to Dunnigan for the US’ support for Georgia’s territorial integrity and sovereignty, as well as for fruitful cooperation in many directions.

He also emphasised Georgia’s Euro-Atlantic direction by saying it remained “irreversible” and was determined by the country’s constitution.
