The ongoing regional and global processes, as well as the political developments in Georgia were discussed in a meeting between Irakli Garibashvili, the Chairman of the Georgian Dream, and the Chinese delegation led by Chen Zhou, the Vice Minister of the International Department of the Central Committee of the Ruling Party of China.
The meeting noted that the strategic partnership agreement signed in 2023 between the two countries would contribute to the further development of bilateral relations.
Irakli Garibashvili and Chen Zhou highlighted that the visa-free travel agreement between the countries, formally signed a few days ago, was the result of the strategic partnership agreement.
The members of the Chinese delegation extended their gratitude to Garibashvili for the work done during his tenure as the Georgian Prime Minister in terms of deepening cooperation with China.
Irakli Garibashvili thanked the members of the delegation for supporting Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, reiterated his support for the principle of One China.
