The rejection of the bill on the transparency of foreign influence by domestic opposition is raising many doubts in the Georgian public. Such a statement made today Irakli Kadagishvili, Chairman of the Parliament’s Committee on Procedural Issues and Rules.

“The opposition’s stance is the narrative that was mentioned a year ago, that this law is Russian. Why don’t they want to adopt this law? It already causes many doubts in the public. That is, there is really hidden money here and they don’t want to expose this hidden money.

Another argument why transparency is Russian [approach] and lack of transparency is European [approach] has no logical explanation”, - said Irakli Kadagishvili.

The Committee on Legal Issues started deliberating on the bill on transparency of foreign influence submitted by the parliamentary majority.
