On Tuesday evening [April 16], another mass demonstration took place near the Parliament, heavily guarded by the police, while the legislature was discussing the Foreign Agents Law.

After Georgian Dream lawmakers left the building, the situation escalated as riot police used pepper spray.

The Interior Ministry reported the detention of 11 people during the rally.

Four police officers were injured during an anti-Transparency Bill rally. According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, all four were stricken with a blunt object in the head area and are being treated at home.

Herewith, the vehicle belonging to the ministry was damaged as well.
