Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze met with Maciej Czura, Head of the Regional Representation for the South Caucasus of the European Investment Bank (EIB).
Focus was made on successful cooperation with the EIB as a leading financial institution. The positive dynamics of Georgia’s economic growth and macroeconomic trends were discussed.
The Head of Government thanked the Head of the EIB Regional Representation for support. Emphasis was put on the role of implemented and ongoing investment projects financed by the EIB toward the development of Georgia’s infrastructure. In this context, the importance of the ongoing East-West Highway project, carried out with EIB support, was underlined.
It was noted that Georgia appreciates productive cooperation with the EIB. A hope was expressed that the EIB will continue supporting Georgia"s priority spheres through financing investment projects.
Since launching operations in Georgia, the EIB has invested 1.6 billion euros in investment projects.
