13,600 flights will be implemented this summer based on flight schedules approved by different air companies. Such a statement released the Georgian Civil Aviation Agency.
“Approximately 2,500 flights are scheduled for October from Georgia to European cities, which make up 18% of the total scheduled flights.
The frequency of flights increases to Saudi Arabia, Bahrein, United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Oman and Qatar. A total of 1761 flights will be implemented by three air companies between Georgia and Russia.
The low-cost Netherlands air company Transavia entered the Georgian aviation market and will carry out regular Tbilisi-Amsterdam flights. After several years of pause, Austrian Airlines resumed the operation of Vienna-Tbilisi-Vienna flights.
In January-April 2024, Georgian airports served 1,946,881 passengers.
