Legal Affairs Committee backs Law on Transparency veto override

The Legal Affairs Committee of the Parliament of Georgia has backed the override of the veto on the Law on Transparency of Foreign Influence.

The President of Georgia vetoed the Law on Transparency of Foreign Influence on May 18, introducing only one amendment that rendered the law effective for one day following its enactment, losing its validity on the subsequent day.

The Parliament will debate the president’s veto at the plenary session.
