The Council of the European Union publishes a summary statement after the meeting of the ministers of foreign affairs of the member states of the EU held in Brussels, in which, among other issues, Georgia is also discussed.
“As part of current issues, the Council was informed about the developments surrounding the new law on transparency of foreign influence in Georgia, which is against the spirit and principles of the European Union.
The member states agreed to consider the most appropriate response of the EU in the event of the implementation of the law, with a view to a possible decision of the Foreign Affairs Council in June”, - reads the statement.
