The visa-free regime between China and Georgia “stresses the importance of the strategic partnership between the nations which is based on mutual respect. Such a statement made today the Chinese Ambassador to Georgia, Zhou Qian.
“Just the first season this year, Chinese tourist flow to Georgia increased by 290% compared with last year.
So, I believe with this new visa-free regime, not only tourists but also the mutual contact among the business circle, science and technology, academic circles and culture, and people-to-people will increase very fast.
China is the biggest market in the world. The visa-free regime will bring many more opportunities for businessmen and for all of the Georgian people to explore the Chinese market and get more fruitful results”, - said the Ambassador.
He also talked about the Anaklia port project, in which a Chinese consortium is set to be announced as the Georgian Government’s private partner in the construction of the port.
“The China Communications Construction Company Limited was one of the most acclaimed and the strongest construction companies in the world. My country expects positive results and believes this important project would highlight the significance of synergy between Georgia and China for the Belt and Road Initiative and the Middle Corridor”, - said Zhou Qian.
