The US Department of State is introducing visa sanctions against dozens of Georgian citizens, including members of the Government, Parliament and their relatives. Such a statement made today the Spokesperson of the Department.

“This first list of visa restrictions includes members of the Georgian Dream party, members of the Parliament, law enforcement officials and ordinary citizens. We continue to hope that Georgian leaders will reconsider their actions and take steps to move towards their long-proclaimed democratic and European their country’s Atlantic aspirations, but if they fail to do so, the United States is prepared to take additional action.
