Irakli Kobakhidze, Prime Minister of Georgia, met Jeihun Bairamov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan.
The dignitaries discussed key matters of strategic partnership between Georgia and Azerbaijan and reviewed the current regional affairs.
Focus of the meeting was made on economic cooperation and projects of regional importance, highlighting the significance of joint efforts in implementing large infrastructural and energy projects.
The discussion emphasized the importance of projects aimed at strengthening transit and logistics functions, including the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars Railway, the Black Sea Submarine Power Cable and the Anaklia Deep-Sea Port.
Jeihun Bairamov also congratulated Irakli Kobakhidze on the entry of the Georgian national football team into the 1/8 Finals of the European Championship.
