In January-June 2024, Georgian airports served 3,220,599 passengers, which is 30% more than the number of passengers received in the same period in 2023

The 3 domestic international airports had served over 3 million passengers over the last 6 months. Such a statement made today the Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia.

According to Mariam Kvrivishvili, over 2 million tourist visits had been recorded in the country in the first 2 quarters of 2024, marking a 10% increase over the same period of 2023.

“Tourist visits are increasing both from EU countries and from the Persian Gulf and new tourist markets - India and China. In the same period, Georgian airports served 3,220,599 passengers with regular and non-regular flights, which is 30% more than the number of passengers received in the same period in 2023.

We implemented many successful projects, as a result of which we introduced new airlines to Georgia. Active marketing campaigns are underway to promote Georgia on international markets, which has a positive effect on both the growth of tourist flows and the passenger flow”, - said the Deputy Minister.

Between January and June, 183,355 international visits from EU countries and the UK were recorded in the country, marking a 10% increase compared to the same period in 2023. In the first 6 months of 2024, a total of 14,682 flights were performed through airports of Georgia.
