The Prime Minister of Georgia is participating in the European Political Community Summit, which is being held in the UK. Keir Starmer, Prime Minister of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland is hosting the leaders of around 50 countries at Blenheim Palace in the city of Woodstock.
Within the framework of the summit, Irakli Kobakhidze will participate in a panel discussion, the main theme of which is energy and connectivity. He will highlight the special role that Georgia can play in terms of connectivity.
“We will share our messages regarding our vision of Georgia’s role with our European colleagues. Georgia can play a special role for Europe in terms of connectivity and this is what we will be discussing with our European colleagues. Today, we have several ongoing projects that ensure the strengthening of our transit function, including the development of our role within the framework of the Middle Corridor initiative, which will be very interesting for Europe and the Black Sea region. We will also discuss specific projects with our European partners”, - said Irakli Kobakhidze, thereby noting that one of the important topics in communication with colleagues will be the enlargement of the European Union.
Among the issues to be discussed at the European Political Community Summit are the ongoing events in Ukraine and illegal migration. The summit also includes thematic discussions.
